zone delle valli di Scansano e Albegna: Vasi di terracotta contenenti semi di Vitis Vinifera risalenti al V secolo a.C..<\/p>\n<p>Statuette di bronzo di offerenti con in mano falcetti, gli strumenti standard dei viticoltori fino a quasi i giorni nostri, sono solo alcuni dei manufatti ritrovati nell&#8217;area rurale degli Usi, che comprende i comuni di Scansano e Semproniano, e nel sito di Ghiaccioforte, un&#8217;area tra Scansano e Saturnia.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-8d30737\" data-id=\"8d30737\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap possesso dei territori di Scansano e ne favorirono lo sviluppo agricolo attraverso la creazione di numerose colonie.<\/p>\n<p>Qui veniva prodotto il vino destinato alle province occidentali dell&#8217;impero, come dimostra il ritrovamento del relitto di una nave nel mare al largo di Marsiglia.<\/p>\n<p>Il relitto conteneva infatti un gran numero di anfore vinarie contrassegnate dalle lettere SES, le iniziali della potente famiglia romana dei Sestii, commercianti e proprietari terrieri della zona di Cosa, l&#8217;attuale Romano, Scansano, cos\u00ec come il resto della Maremma, conobbe inevitabilmente un periodo di crisi e degrado a causa dell&#8217;abbandono da parte della popolazione, che port\u00f2 al dissesto idrogeologico e all&#8217;impaludamento delle zone costiere.<\/p>\n<p>Sebbene la produzione di vino sia sopravvissuta intorno ai centri abitati dei primi insediamenti etruschi, la produzione estensiva degli insediamenti romani venne meno. La viticoltura rimase una pratica residuale di piccoli proprietari e agricoltori che tenevano vigneti, spesso su terreni terrazzati, per la produzione di vino destinato al consumo familiare e al data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Con il declino dell&#8217;Impero Romano, Scansano, cos\u00ec come il resto della Maremma, conobbe inevitabilmente un periodo di crisi e degrado a causa dell&#8217;abbandono da parte della popolazione, che port\u00f2 al dissesto idrogeologico e all&#8217;impaludamento delle zone costiere.<\/p>\n<p>Sebbene la produzione di vino sia sopravvissuta intorno ai centri abitati dei primi insediamenti etruschi, la produzione estensiva degli insediamenti romani venne meno. La viticoltura rimase una pratica residuale di piccoli proprietari e agricoltori che tenevano vigneti, spesso su terreni terrazzati, per la produzione di vino destinato al consumo familiare e al mercato locale.
